What is Synchronized Skating?

Synchronized skating is a team sport.  Teams consist of 8 to 24 skaters performing a choreographed competition routine together to music.  Some basic synchronized skating elements typically executed in routines include the following:

  • Line
  • Block
  • Wheel
  • Circle
  • Intersection

Why join the North Stars?

The North Stars strongly believe in making synchronized skating as affordable to families as possible.  Throughout the season, your child will not only strengthen their skating skills, but will also build friendships and develop important life skills that will serve them well in the future.  Your child will:

  • Learn what it means to be a part of a team
  • Learn to recognize and practice good sportsmanship
  • Realize goals through dedication and effective practice
  • Form long-lasting friendships
  • Gain confidence while learning how to perform in front of an audience
  • Increase skating skills

What type of commitment does the season involve?

North Stars team members commit to attending their weekly team practice and also commit to attending all competitions and shows that the team has signed up for.
